arona received a TON of gifts for her first birthday. she had so much fun discovering how each toy worked. we spent the day walking around the city only to return a little late for bedtime. but a birthday is rather incomplete without cake so we had a somewhat rushed cake celebration- but a celebration nonetheless! it was an amazing day. 

ps-- i got her "1" sparkler at thomas sires, my very favorite store in the city for little tchotchkes.

a barbecue at katy and kyle's. arona made friends with a very sweet boy named august and also learned the art of eating corn on the cob. 

i'm trying to make a habit out of posting more often. the problem with taking a million photos every day is there is a lot to go through and organize. here's an old polaroid of arona and clyde to start things off...

photos from our time exploring the catskills. we stayed at a lovely bed and breakfast- christine and michael clark are two of the sweetest people. arona worked her charm on them both- by the end of our stay christine was calling arona her little angel.
